Maintenance
| Frames Clean your frames regularly using mild soap and clean, warm water. Do not use abrasive materials or cleansers. Maintain your frames by covering with commercially available furniture covers or storing out of the elements when not in use. Always clean and dry thoroughly before storing. All Weather Wicker All Wicker products are actually a synthetic material we call All-Weather Wicker. It is made of either PVC, Polyvinyl Chloride or PE, Polyethelene. Clean by washing frequently with mild soap and warm water. Do not use abrasive materials or cleansers. Commercial vinyl protectors may stain the cushions. Straps Clean your straps by washing frequently with mild soap and warm water. In areas with heavy pollutions or smog, use commercially available cleaners. Do not use abrasive materials or cleansers. Maintain your strap with an application of commercially available vinyl protectors. This will also enhance the look, strengthen, and prolong the life of the straps. Cushion and Slings Clean your cushions and slings by wiping up minor spills with a mild soap and a damp cloth. Although the fabric has been treated to resist stains, over time it may be necessary to use commercially available cleaners. Follow the manufacturer's instructions. Maintain your cushions and slings by storing them in a dry area out of the elements or cover them with commercially available furniture covers when not in use. If your furniture is being used in an area where birds and trees are plentiful, covering the cushions is especially recommended. Glass Table Tops Use mild soap and water or commercially available glass cleaners. Do not use cleansers or abrasive materials. Stone Table Tops Cleaning, normal dirt: The stone on your table has been sealed, but it still requires regular cleaning. Clean the tabletop with a soft, clean, white cloth (one that won't bleed color) or sponge. Use clean warm water and a mild dish soap. Never use scouring creams or abrasive cleansers that might scratch the sealer finish. Cleaning, accidental spills: These should be cleaned immediately. Just wipe up with a damp cloth. S-B-Sealer will minimize possible damage to the tabletop stone by allowing more cleaning time for accidental spills. Keeping the protective sealer maintained is very important! Rinse after cleaning with plenty of clean water to remove any soap residue. Dry thoroughly after cleaning to prevent residue from minerals that might be present in your water, even with softened water. With S-B-S Sealer, there is no special care or cleaning materials required or to be avoided, other than petroleum solvents (which can break down and weaken the protective qualities of the sealer). Soap and water is all you need. If by mistake a solvent was used, and it has affected the sealer, do not worry. After it is dry, simply add back more of the sealer to restore the finish. SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS FOR ALL TABLES USING UMBRELLAS When using an umbrella with a table, always make sure the protective ring is in the umbrella hole and the umbrella is secured using a sturdy umbrella base. Never use an umbrella without the protective ring or an umbrella base. Always remove the umbrella from the table and store when not in use. Never use any umbrella in a table during windy conditions. |
